Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct method trial for non-pharmacopeial methods in preparation for validation.
- Initiate required test method validation protocol in accordance to established Test Method Validation Master Plan. Assess and include all required parameters for inclusion into the protocols and develop an execution plan.
- Execute Test Method Validation in accordance with established approved protocol.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to data/ method parameters during method validation.
- Initiate and route for approval test method validation reports.
- Ensure that all Test Method Validation projects are executed in accordance with established Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Interact with PDL to resolve any challenges with test methods during validation.
- Responsible for the management and the implementation of the Validation Master Plan taking into consideration assigned priorities to ensure that critical projects meet required deadline and business needs.
- Collaborate with the Chemistry Section Coordinator and Regulatory Affairs to formulate a respone for any MOH inquiries regarding test method validation
- Collaborate with the Chemistry Section Coordinator to ensure that test method validation output is integrated into the appropriate QMS standard test methods.
- Participate in the ongoing Quality Control process improvement projects.
- Engage in other assignments as deemed nescessary by the supervisor
Accountabilities:
- Ensure that GLP requirements are continuously met in the designated area within the Quality Control department.
- Perform assigned tasks promptly, effeciently and within the established lead time.
- Consistently produce work that is accurate and error free.
- Support OOS laboratory investigation to determine root cause and possible corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the QMS and processes as part of the continuous process improvement initiative.
Qualification:
Bachelor degree in science related field (Chemistry or Biochemistry) or Pharmacy. Master degree in science related field (Chemistry or Biochemistry) or Pharmacy is prefferred.
Experience:
Over 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control Laboratory setting and minimum of 2 years in test method development and validation.
Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), WHO Handbook of Good Laboratory Practice, EU/ USP/ BP/ EP Guidelines for Test Method Validation. Local and GCC MOH Regulation. USFDA 21 CFR 820, 210, 211. WHO GMP Guidelines (Annex 2) will be added advantage.
Skills & Competancies:
Advanced skills with Excel, Word, Databases including graphs and statistical analysis tools. Team oriented, attention to details and multitasking. Proficient in the use of analytical technique.
